To provide an aqueous coating material exhibiting excellent adhesiveness with molded products of various resins including polyolefin such as polypropylene, synthetic rubber, unsaturated polyester, epoxy resin and urethane resin, with a steel plate, and with metal such as aluminum.
The aqueous dispersion comprises a propylene-based resin A modified by a polymer of copolymerizable monomers E consisting of a monomer having an ,-monoethylenically unsaturated group and other copolymerizable monomers, a propylene-based resin D containing carboxylic acid bonded to a polymer chain or a group of carboxylic acid salt at a concentration of 0.05-5 millimole equivalent in terms of the group represented by formula 1 per 1 g resin, an anionic and/or nonionic surface active agent F, and water G. The copolymerizable monomers E include at least one kind of (meth)acrylic ester and/or an aromatic vinyl compound. In this way, the coating material can be directly used without causing a separation phenomenon, and a paint and a primer allowing spray coating and exhibiting excellent adhesiveness with various resin molded products of polyolefin, synthetic rubber, and the like, with a steel plate, and with metal such as aluminum are provided.
