Abstract:

To provide an aqueous photothermographic imaging element which exhibits good image distinguishability while retaining good preservability and low fog.

The aqueous photothermographic element contains a) a photosensitive silver halide emulsion precipitated in a water-dispersible cationic starch peptizing agent and b) a redox image forming composition containing (i) a colloidal dispersion of silver compound particles and (ii) an organic reducing agent.
