To provide an armature block for moving-magnet type linear motor capable of standardization, easy wiring switching, and high reliability.
In a stator-side armature 1 formed by winding coils 8a, 8b, 8c developing a shifting field for a permanent magnet 2 around an armature core, the number of slots in the armature core embedded with the coils 8a, 8b, 8c is taken as six and the number of the permanent magnets facing them is taken as four to form a minimum number of combinations. The coils 8a, 8b, 8c are wound so as to straddle the two slots, and such a core shape that the teeth section of the armature core exists on both ends of the armature core in the lengthwise direction is made. The teeth widths on both the ends are set at 1/2 as large as other teeth width. A protruding section 10a for positioning is provided on one single side, and a recessed section 10b for positioning is provided respectively.
