PURPOSE: To provide a stator for a synchronous motor in which a slot ripple can be reduced without loss of productivity of the stator.
CONSTITUTION: In a stator for a synchronous motor composed by laminating a plurality of stator core elements 12, the plurality of elements are divided to two sets in such a manner that the thicknesses of stator cores 10A, 10B of the sets are equal and an opening 10a of the slot for forming the core 10A of the one set is deviated in a circumferential direction to the central position of the slot 16. An opening 10a' of a slot for forming the core 10B of the other set is deviated reversely in the circumferential direction to the central position of the slot and the deviating amount becomes 1/4 of a wavelength of the main component wave of a slot ripple generated if no deviation occurs.
