PURPOSE: To obtain the titled remedy for inhalation and oral administration, useful for improving and suppressing disorder progress thereof, showing extremely strongly antiasthmatic action, containing a novel indenes compound or a salt thereof as an active ingredient.
CONSTITUTION: An asthamtic remedy containing a novel indene compound shown by formula I (R1 is lower alkyl; R2 and R3 are each lower alkyl or R2 and R3 are bonded to form ethylene or propylene; R3 is lower alkyl, benzyl or benzoyl) or a salt thereof as an active ingredient. The compound shown by formula I, for example, is synthesized by reacting an indene derivative shown by formula III with a secondary amine shown by formula II as shown in the reaction equation. The compound shown by formula III is also a novel compound and, for example, is obtained by reacting a compound shown by formula IV with a compound shown by formula V. A daily dose of the titled remedy is preferably 5W200mg calculated as the compound shown by formula I per adult usually.
