Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of a service quality due to the shortage of channel capacity by calculating a cell transfer speed to be offered to a virtual connection and reallocating channel capacity in a common transmission medium based on this value.
SOLUTION: The allocation of a radio channel capacity is managed in such a manner that a radio base station holds a correspondence table of radio channel capacities which are allocated to a virtual connection requesting an ABR service and an UBR service. A cell transfer speed 42 acquired by the supervision of cell traffic and a cell transfer speed 43 acquired by the reallocation of a radio intra-frame slot are written in this identifier 41 and the sum total 44 of the current cell transfer speeds in described virtual connections and a providable radio channel capacity to the ABR service and the UBR service are also described. Also, a cell transfer speed in a radio channel is allocated so as to be equal to the ratio of the current cell transfer speeds in virtual connections #1 to #3.
