Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching structure of a side collision detecting sensor for vehicle which can secure prompt action when it's accompanied by the collision load from side.
SOLUTION: The attaching structure of the sensor in a vehicle with 4 doors is constituted to provide a center pillar 14 formed into a closed cross section structure with an outer pannel 10 and an inner pannel 12, a rear door 18 attached to the outer pannel of the said center pillar with a hinge 16, and a sensor 22 arranged in a closed cross section 20 for detecting the side collision. In this case, the sensor is directly attached to a bolt 28 which attaches a piece 25 of a hinge one of two pieces of 25 and 26 holding a pivot 24, to the outer pannel.
