Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the state of suction of a liquid from the tip of a needle in real time and thereby accurately grasp the timing with which the needle is raised from a liquid level.SOLUTION: With a pressure sensor 19 provided that detects the pressure in a suction flow channel configured by a syringe pump 18 and a need communicating with each other, a control unit 28 for controlling the operation of the syringe pump 18 and the needle includes an intra-channel pressure determination unit 32 and a needle standby unit 36. The intra-channel pressure determination unit 32 is configured so as to determine whether or not the pressure in the suction flow channel is in a reduced-pressure state on the basis of the output signal of the pressure sensor 19 after a suction operation is finished. The needle standby unit 36 is configured so that, when the pressure in the suction flow channel after the suction operation is found to be in the reduced-pressure state on the basis of the determination result of the intra-channel pressure determination unit 32, the needle standby unit stands by while the tip of the needle is being inserted in a liquid accommodation container until the pressure in the suction flow channel is no longer in the reduced-pressure state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
