PURPOSE: To provide the subject device capable of saving energy and reducing noises by using a meshed belt conveyer as a cutting support surface, dividing a suction box just under the conveyer into a plurality of chambers and sucking only a chamber corresponding to a cutter in response to the movement of the cutter.
CONSTITUTION: A cutting support surface 10 for laminating and loading the prescribed number of cloths A thereon is formed of a meshed belt conveyer 2. A moving table 12 is faced to the cloths A on the cutting support surface 10. While a cutter head 4 is moved on the basis of a stored cutting pattern according to the outputted signal of a computer, the laminated cloths A is cut in a prescribed pattern by the rotation of a cutter blade 15. Therein, the damper 31 of only a chamber 30 placed at a position corresponding to the cutting blade 15 among the divided chambers 30 of the suction box 28 just under the belt conveyer 2 is opened to suck and hold the laminated cloths A. The opening or closing of each damper 31 is automatically controlled in response to the movement of the cutter head 4, thereby enabling the reduction in the size of a blower, the lowering in the cost of the operation, and the decrease of noises.
