Abstract:

PURPOSE: To mold glass disks to stable dimensional accuracy and more particularly the glass to a stable thickness by automatically molding the glass disks for lubrication to be used at the time of producing a steel pipe with a hot extrusion press.

CONSTITUTION: A bucket lifter 402 rises and kneaded matter is supplied and stored in a storage hopper 40 when the kneaded matter formed by kneading glass powder and a binder is put into this bucket lifter 402. The kneaded matter of the amt. adjusted by a screw is supplied from below the storage hopper 40 to a receiving conveyor 410 and is further sent to a charging conveyor 413. After the kneaded matter is metered by an automatic metering instrument 415, the kneaded matter is supplied to an injecting hopper 120. On the other hand, a rotary table 10 is rotated at every 60° at the prescribed timing and the kneaded matter is injected from this injecting hopper into a lower mold 11 in the injecting position A and the front surface thereof is uniformly leveled off by a leveling-off plate 130 in a leveling-off position B. The kneaded matter is press molded by an upper mold 140 in a molding position C. The upper mold 140 and lower mold 11 with which the molding ends is cleaned by a sponge roller 420 contg. moisture.
