PURPOSE: To pack a flexible, bulky product automatically, securely, and neatly.
CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a packing box 10 consisting of an inner box 12 for containing a product 18 and a hollow outer box 14 into which the inner box 12 is inserted. The device is comprised of: a product regulating device 22 for putting the product 18 into the inner box 12 and making it neat; an outer box transporting means 34 for supplying the outer box 14 to the position where the inner box 12 is inserted in it, and an inner box transporting means 24 for transporting the inner box 12, containing the product 18, to the position where it is inserted in the outer box 14. The device is further comprised of: a pressing member 28 which, when the inner box 12 is inserted in the outer box 14, presses the product 18 contained in the inner box 12; guide members 27, 44 and 45 which guide the inner box 12 into the outer box 14 when the inner box 12 is inserted into the outer box 14; and an inserting means 30 for inserting the inner box 12 into the outer box 14.
