To provide an automatic power supply connector, wherein if an electrical apparatus supplied with power through a power line is connected or disconnected, the power line can be turned on/off in conjunction with the connecting or disconnecting operation for the electrical apparatus, without using a CPU or a communication board, and the production of sparks can be prevented in the basic sense.
The automatic power supply connector 10 is so constituted that, when a first device 2 mounted with the electrical apparatus 1 is installed on or removed from a second device 9 incorporating the power line 4, it turns on/off the power line by the installing/removing operation. After an electrical connector 12 is connected by installing operation, an operation detector 14 outputs an installation signal S1. Before the electrical connector is disconnected by removing operation, the operation detector outputs a removal signal S0. A power supply connector 16 switches the power line 4 between current-carrying state and disconnected state, according to the installation signal S1 or the removal signal S0.
