Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method for automatic reception of a FAX incoming call without oral confirmation or confirmation by a person for an incoming call signal from a facsimile equipment.
SOLUTION: An extension telephone set (7, 8) rings to allow the user of the extension telephone set to reply a line after receiving a call from a facsimile equipment 1 from an opposite party, the reply of the extension telephone set (7, 8) is stored in a central control circuit 5 and gives an instruction of detection of a FAX signal to a FAX connection adaptor 9. When the adaptor 9 detects a FAX signal, the adaptor connects the line to a facsimile equipment 13 for its FAX communication. Thus smooth and proper FAX communication is realized by eliminating the need for a notified operation without confirmation of a FAX incoming call through a general line and avoiding operation mistake or the like.
