PURPOSE: To provide the title register device preventing the overlap of the cross-shaped register marks of mutual colors even when registers are matched with each other to make it possible to automatically adjust the marks.

CONSTITUTION: An image processor 30 has the mark origins of the different positions corresponding to the respective register marks of a plurality of colors and operates the shifts from the respective register marks of a plurality of the colors from the respective origins in response to image data to operate the register shift of the respective register marks on the basis of said shifts and the distance between the mark origins and, when the operated register shift exceeds a preliminarily inputted predetermined value, a control signal is applied to a printing press so as to reduce the operated register shift to control the printing press. A next printing message urging next printing is sent out and, when the operated register shift is the predetermined value or less, a completion message showing that the automatic correction of the register shift is completed is sent out.
