PURPOSE: To provide an automatic running vehicle for which omission of an internal inspection work and/or prevention of overspeed can be attempted by quickly detecting any abnormal condition taking place in a brake motor or a brake device and notifying this trouble to an user.
CONSTITUTION: In an automatic running vehicle which comprises a brake motor (motor for braking) 14 electrified based upon an instruction value in compliance with a required braking force and drum brakes (brake device) 8a to 8d driven by the brake motor 14 via transmission members such as a wire, a link, etc., a controller (judging means) 9 for judging normal/abnormal state of drum brakes 8a to 8d and an informing means which informs the judged result of the controller 9 are provided. Since any abnormal condition of the brake motor 14 or drum brakes 8a to 8d can be quickly detected by the controller 9 serving as a judging means and the detected result can be informed to users by an informing means, any trouble such as over vehicle speed can be eliminated as well as an internal inspection work can be omitted.
