PURPOSE: To prevent damage of a load by receiving goods thrown out from an inclined pan on a buffer conveyer comprised of buffer material and delivering same to a free roller conveyer in the above apparatus for postal packages or the like.

CONSTITUTION: A pan 2 which has been loaded with goods and transferred is inclined to the side by operation of a solenoid 9 to throw out goods 6 onto a belt 7a of a buffer conveyer portion 7. As the belt 7a has cushioning material 7b such as sponge rubber or the like on the surface thereof, the goods 6 are cushioned, so that shock is absorbed. Subsequently, the goods 6 are fed into a free roller conveyer portion 8 to be stored by the buffer conveyer 7. By this arrangement, goods can be protected.
