Abstract:
PURPOSE:To save energy and decrease exhaust pollution by engaging a monolithic combination of ring gears with a planet gear engaging with a sun gear. CONSTITUTION:A ring gear B7 and a ring gear C12 are combined with each other which have a bowl form and are capable of rotating on a fixed axis and engaged with the planet gears B19 and C21 supported by shaft supports 8 and C11 to engage with a sun gear B9. Thereby, the angular speed of the ring gears B7 and C12 is automatically controlled in accordance with the change of load, and the angular speed and the torque of an output shaft change accordingly to set maximum available torque ratio close to a practical level for automatic speed change. Since the output shaft revolutions of an engine is therefore made constant at the level where the best fuel cost performance is developed, energy can be saved and exhaust pollution can be decreased.
