Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform high-speed control and improve reliability by interposing a series transformer in series with an AC power source using a flywheel generator, and connecting a semiconductor switch to its exciting windings side and controlling its excitation. CONSTITUTION:The AC power of the flywheel generator 1 is converted into a direct current through a transformer 3 for a rectifier and a diode rectifier 4, and the current is supplied to a load. In this case, the automatic voltage regulating system 6 consisting of a DC transformer 8, semiconductor switch 7, and step- down transformer 9 is interposed. This semicnductor switch 7 is connected for every phase of the secondary winding 8b of the DC transformer 8, and the voltage applied to this secondary winding 8b is adjusted by the switch 7 to adjust variation in the output voltage of the generator 1.
