PURPOSE: To prevent abnormal vibrations at the time of dehydration by performing a correction process when cloth is imbalanced by providing an automatic washing machine with a vibration detecting means for detecting the vibration of an outer vessel, rotating a dehydrating water tank during the drainage of a dehydrating process, comparing the detected value with a previously registered threshold value, and detecting the eccentricity of cloth.
CONSTITUTION: Concerning the washing machine provided with an outer vessel 20 including a dehydrating vessel 26 equipped with a stirring fan 24, the stirring fan 24 is rotated while fixing the dehydrating vessel 26 in washing and rinsing processes. Then, water inside the outer vessel 20 is drained in the dehydrating process, and dehydration is performed by rotating the dehydrating vessel 26. In this case, the vibration sensor detects the vibration of the outer vessel 20 and the vibration detected value in the case of rotating the dehydrating vessel 26 during the drainage of the dehydrating process is compared with the previously registered threshold value so that the eccentricity of cloth can be detected. When any cloth eccentricity is detected, the drainage of the dehydrating process is temporarily stopped, water is supplied, the correcting process for correcting the cloth by rotating the stirring fan is performed and after the cancel of cloth eccentricity is confirmed, drainage is started again.
