PURPOSE: To automatically weld the joint of mutual plate of beam by providing projectingly an arm body freely extending and contracting from a supporting body toward the inside of the beam, providing a rotary part freely rotationable on the tip part of the arm body and fitting a welding robot on the rotary part.
CONSTITUTION: After a metal plate 3 is temporarily assembled in the four plates box column like, a supporting body 12 of an automatic welding machine 1 is fixed at the position corresponding to an opening part. The 1st arm body 13 is inserted inside the box like column material 4 in the state being contracted. A projecting and retreating member 24 of the 1st arm body 13 is projected, a rotary member 15 is rotated, and a welding robot 17 of the tip part is made to correspond to the prescribed welding place. The 2nd arm body 16 is projected, the welding robot 17 is moved to the welding place of the mutual metal plate, and welded. Because the arm body 13 is only inserted inside the temporarily assembled beam 4, the welding working can be easily executed.
