Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent white balancing from being stopped by repeating count-up/ down with an object value in between.
SOLUTION: The automatic white balance adjustment device is provided with integration circuits 8, 9 that integrates a color difference signal generated from a color signal by one field only to obtain an integrated value, an EPROM 10 that stores an optimum object value, and a CPU 11A that compares the integrated value with the object value for each field, adjusts a control coefficient when the same quantity relation is consecutive for several fields and changes the gain of the color signal. In this case, the CPU 11A repeats addition of an offset A and subtraction of an offset B to/from the object. Thus, stopping of automatic white balance is avoided so as to eliminate color balancing unpleasant visually.
