Title:
TOROIDAL TYPE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3618967
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a shift control device from performing a sudden shift due to a difference between a transmission input rotating speed in an N range and an actual input rotating speed of a toroidal transmission unit even when a driver returns a select lever again to a D range after being switched to the N range from the D range when a vehicle travels.
SOLUTION: In a toroidal type continuously variable transmission for vehicle which has an advance-retreat switching mechanism, a pressing force generating mechanism 2 and a toroidal transmission unit 1 in order from the driving source side of a vehicle and is formed as a constitutive element of an automatic transmission together with a shift control device to control its actuation, a cutout 10a as a rotating speed detecting part is arranged in a loading cam 10 among a rotary member up to an input disc of the toroidal transmission unit from an output member of the advance-retreat switching mechanism mutually joined in driving regardless of the existence of rotational transmission in the advance- retreat switching mechanism, and a rotation sensor 28 detects a rotating speed of the loading cam 10 by detecting its notch 10a, and inputs it to the shift control device.
