Abstract:
One aspect of the present disclosure relates to an autonomous coverage robot (100,101) comprising a chassis (200) having a forward portion (210) and a rearward portion (220), the forward portion (210) defining a substantially rectangular shape and the rearward portion (220) defining an arcuate shape, a drive system (400) carried by the rearward portion (220) of the chassis (200) and configured to maneuver the robot (100,101) over a cleaning surface, a controller (450) in communication with the drive system (400), a cleaning assembly (500) mounted on the forward portion (210) of the chassis (200), a bin (610) configured to receive debris agitated by the cleaning assembly (500) and at least one cliff sensor (710; 710C; 710D) carried by a rearward portion (320) of a body (300) of the robot (100, 101).
