Title:
AUXILIARY CHAMBER STRUCTURE OF ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61252827
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To sharply improve durability and reliability in relation to structure of an auxiliary chamber, according to the method wherein a heat insulating air layer is formed between a shrink-fit ring and a cylinder head, and a projection, protruded to the vicinity of the cylinder head, is formed on the outer peripheral part of the shrink-fit ring.

CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary chamber 5a is formed by a ceramic member 6, fit in a recessed part 1a of a cylinder head 1, through a shrink-fit ring 7 engaged with outer peripheral parts 8a and 9a. A heat insulating air layer 15 is formed between the shrink-fit 7 and the cylinder head 1. Projection 7c, protruded to the vicinity of the cylinder head 1, is formed on the outer peripheral part of the shrink-fit ring 7. This prevents decrease of a shrink-fit effect and deterioration of a material, and enables sharp improvement of durability and reliability in relation to structure of the auxiliary chamber.
