Title:
AUXILIARY COMBUSTION CHAMBER OF ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61252828
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To sharply improve durability in relation of an auxiliary combustion chamber and to facilitate a shrink-fit work, according to the method wherein, in a shrink-fit ring of a ceramic member, with which the auxiliary combustion chamber is formed, the material of the shrink-fit ring is Fe-Ni system alloy.

CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary combustion chamber 5 of an engine is formed with a heat resistant ceramic member 6, e.g., nitrogen, silicon, fit in a recessed part 1a of a cylinder head 1 and having outer peripheral parts 8a and 9a with which a shrink-fit ring 7 is engaged. The shrink-fit ring 7 is formed by Fe-Ni system alloy indicating a thermal expansion rate at temperature in the ordinary operation range of an engine, and indicating a high thermal expansion rate at a shrink-fit temperature. This enables sharp improvement of durability in relation to the auxliary combustion chamber and facilitation of a shrink-fit work.
