PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a bright line on a light emission surface from being generated owing to a liquid drooping, etc., by arranging an infinite number of unspecified-shape diffusing bodies at irregular intervals and constituting a diffusion pattern part, and diffusing the luminous flux of a light source which enters a light guide plate and projecting it from the top surface.
SOLUTION: This device is equipped with the parallel flat light guide plate 1, light sources 2 and 2 which are arranged along the opposite end parts of the light guide plate 1, reflecting mirrors 3 and 3 which are formed covering the light sources 2 and 2 from the edge of the light guide plate 1, a reflecting sheet which is arranged on the reverse-surface side of the light guide plate 1, and a diffusion sheet 1 and a prism sheet which are laminated in order on the top surface side of the light guide plate 1. The diffusion pattern part 7 formed on the reflecting surface 1c of the light guide plate 1 has an infinite number of unspecified-shape diffusing bodies 8... arranged at irregular intervals by silk screen printing using white paint. Consequently, a bright line on the light emission line due to a liquid drooping and a defect in printing adhesion at the time of the formation of the diffusion part can be prevented from being generated even if the diffusion part is made thinner and smaller in interval accompanying making the back light device further thinner.
