Abstract:
To allow a window to be lightly operated upon closure thereof and upon opening thereof from the closed state in a lifting balancing device that uses a spiral rod and torsion spring that are threadedly engaged with a coupling to generate a balancing load that balances with the weight of the window.SOLUTION: In a spiral balancer in which a spiral rod 7 and a torsion spring 13, which is entrained when the window 1 is lowered, are installed in the pipe 3 to produce a balancing load to be balanced with the weight of the window, the torsion spring is given an initial spring pressure equivalent to the weight of the window. The lower end of the spiral rod 7 is connected to a rotatable rotary shaft 22 provided on a slide block 17. The rotary shaft is urged in the opposite direction of the direction of rotation of the spiral rod 7 by a buffer spring 35 with a spring pressure greater than the above initial spring pressure to allow rotation of the rotary shaft 22 when a large repulsive force by the torsion spring is applied to the spiral rod 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
