There are provided stacking-up units 54, 55 for advancing some paper moneys and stacking them up; long and short guide members 75 movably arranged at the stacking-up units 54, 55 and guiding long and short directions of the paper moneys to be moved forward; a transferring carrier 58 for transferring some paper moneys stacked-up at the stacking-up units 54, 55 in a predetermined direction; a band applying mechanism 60 for applying a band at a band applying position some paper moneys transferred by the transferring carrier 58; and a control device for variably controlling a guide position while moving long and short guide members 75 in response to the size of the paper sheets forwarding into the stacking-up units 54, 55.
