The first cutting die 11 of this band cutting tool 10 is equipped with: a first cutting edge part 21 having a first main cutting edge 22 extending in the width direction of the band and a first end cutting edge 23 in arcuate shape extending outward in the axial direction in such a manner as continued from the two ends of the first main cutting edge; and a second cutting edge part 26 having a second end cutting edge 27 formed recessed symmetrically to the first end cutting edge 23 in such a fashion as continued from the first main cutting edge 22, and is provided on the top surface of a first base board part 12. A second cutting die 31 is equipped with: a third cutting edge part 41 having a second main cutting edge 42 to engage with the first main cutting edge 22, and a third end cutting edge 43 in arcuate shape to engage with the second end cutting edge 27 extending outward in the width direction in such a way as continued from the two ends of the second main cutting edge 42; and a fourth cutting edge part 46 having a fourth end cutting edge 47 formed recessed symmetrically to the third end cutting edge 43 in such an arrangement as continued from the second main cutting edge 42 and to engage with the first end cutting edge 23, and is provided on the undersurface of a second base board part 32.
