To provide a battery cooling control device cooling a battery by setting the amount of cooling air in consideration of cooling efficiency by cooling air.
A main battery 8 is cooled with cooling air of a cooling fan 23. Fan duty in driving the cooling fan 23 is decided based on temperature of the main battery 8 detected with a temperature sensor 20 and temperature of cooling air detected with a temperature sensor 30. For example, the fan duty is increased with decrease in temperature difference between the main battery 8 and cooling air. Thereby, cooling performance is kept almost constant even if temperature difference is decreased. Conversely, when cooling air temperature is low and temperature difference is high, since the air amount is decreased, excess cooling of the main battery can be prevented, and power saving can be realized.
