To provide a bearing device for a vehicle capable of preventing foreign matters from intruding, which may damage a sensing means.
The bearing device 51 for vehicle is structured so that rolling elements 3 in double rows are interposed between the raceway surfaces of an outer member 1 and an inner member 2, and is furnished with a rotation sensor 4. The rotation sensor 4 is composed of a ring-shaped multi-polar magnet attached to the end part outside diameter surface of the inner member 2 and the sensing means 17 arranged confronting the multi-polar magnet for sensing the magnetic field. The sensing means 17 is mounted on a mounting ring 49 whose portion 49b has an inverted L section, in which the periphery part is fitted to the end part outside diameter surface of the outer member in the pressure fitted condition. The mounting ring 49 covers approximately the end opening between the outer and inner members 1 and 2, and a contact seal 38 is installed to seal the space between the inside circumferential edge of the mounting ring 49 and the end face of the inner member 2.
