To provide a bending method for a metallic plate, by which bending is easily conducted and a bent structure which exhibits a design effect.
At a bending portion of a metallic plate to be bent, both-side V-grooves are formed on the front and rear surfaces of the plate along a bending line in a manner that the bottoms of the V-grooves on the front and rear surfaces are opposite to each other. The metallic plate is bent along the both-side V-grooves. Thereby, one of the both-side V-grooves is contracted and closed while narrowing its angle, the other of the V-grooves is expanded and opened while broadening its angle, and a bending corner part having a predetermined angle is formed. Further, when bending the metallic plate by 90°, the angle of the V-groove that is expanded and opened while broadening its angle becomes 180° at the time of completing the bending, so that a planar chamfer is formed at the bending corner part by the expansion and deformation of the V-groove. In addition, a right angle bending is conducted while expanding and opening a one-side V-groove so that the one-side V-groove is formed outside.
