Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase a curing speed and to obtain the casting mold having high initial strength by incorporating a specific ratio of a hardening accelerator consisting of one or ≥2 kinds of the compds. expressed by formula into a binder compsn.
CONSTITUTION: This binder compsn. for production of the casting mold consists of a thermosetting resin and the hardening accelerator as essential components. The hardening accelerator consists of one or ≥2 kinds of the compds. expressed by the formula I which are incorporated therein at 0.5 to 63.0wt.%. The hardening accelerator is formed of 2,5-bishydroxy methylfurane, 2,5-bismethoxy methylfurane and 2,5-bisethoxy methylfurane alone or in combination. As a result, there is no need for increasing the amt. of the harclener or using hardeners of a sulfonic acid system, etc., having high acid intensity, etc., and, therefore, the production of the casting mold is executed in good working environment.
