Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding apparatus in which the distance between a starting point for pushing a pressing part and a working point is changed upon binding, where unit size of the binding apparatus is reduced when compared to a case where the present construction is not adopted.SOLUTION: It comprises: a first pressing part 61 pressing a record material bundle for binding the record material bundle; a second pressing part 62 which is pushed toward the first pressing part so as to press the record material bundle; and a pushing part pushing the second pressing part toward the first pressing part by changing the distance between a starting point and a working point 63. The press by the first pressing part and the second pressing part is performed at a pressing region where the first pressing part faces the second pressing part in a direction approximately orthogonal to a record material entering direction. A segment direction connecting the starting point and the working point of the pushing part is oblique to the approximately orthogonal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
