PURPOSE: To enable wide and long manuscripts to be stacked without suspending their peripheral edges by arranging a pair of expansible and parallel auxiliary trays extending longer than the length of a blank tray of a facsimile or the like and spaced adjustably from each other on the lower surface of said blank tray.
CONSTITUTION: A plate 34 is mounted through four struts 33 on the lower surface of a manuscript supply tray 31 mounted on a frame 32 of a facsimile. Also, a shaft 36 supporting rotatably a pinion 37 is mounted on the central portion of the lower surface of the tray 31, and a pair of L-shaped members 39 having racks 40 meshing with a pinion 37 are provided symmetrically at both sides of the pinion 37. The base ends of expansible rods functioning as auxiliary trays are embedded in the bases of the respective L-shaped members 39. And when one expansible rod 44 is moved in the direction A or B by hand, both L-shaped members 39 can be moved relatively through the pinion 37, guides 41 and pins 43 engaging guide grooves 42 to adjust a distance between both rods 44, 44.
