Title:
BLEACH-FIXING COMPOSITION CONTAINING THREE-COMPONENT FERRIC COMPLEX SALT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3464540
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a stable biodegradable compsn. having high bleaching efficiency for bleach-fixing an imagewise exposed and developed silver halide photographic element by incorporating a specified three-component ferric complex salt.
CONSTITUTION: This bleach-fixing compsn. contains a fixing agent and a three- component ferric complex salt formed with a tridentate ligand represented by formula I and a tetradentate ligand represented by formula II. In the formulae I, II, R is H, optionally substd. alkyl, aryl, arylalkyl or a heterocyclic group, preferably alkyl, X is an arbitrary combining group not bonding to a ferric ion or making the compd. water-insoluble, preferably optionally substd. alkylene, arylene, arylalkylene or a heterocyclic group and each of (m), (n), (p) and (q) is, 2 or 3.
