Abstract:
To provide a blower motor assembly which facilitates cooling of a controller.SOLUTION: A blower motor assembly 10 including a blower motor case 12 for housing a blower motor 30 is provided. A controller retention portion 42 of the blower motor case 12 is configured to accommodate a controller 40 of the blower motor within the blower motor case 12. An airflow inlet 50 is provided at an exterior of the blower motor case 12. An airflow passageway 54 extends from the airflow inlet 50 to the controller retention portion 42 to direct air to the controller 40. A flange 60 is at an end of the airflow passageway 54 that is opposite to the airflow inlet 50. The flange 60 is disposed to face the controller retention portion 42 and the controller 40 to direct airflow that has passed through the airflow inlet 50 and the airflow passageway 54 to the controller 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
