To provide a bobbin exchange device in a yarn take-up device in which doffing of a full package and installation of an empty bobbin can be automatically performed in facilities which are not complicated.

This device comprises a cradle arm 10 to hold a bobbin B for taking up yarn on the bobbin B at a take-up position W of a yarn take-up device to be a package P, moving the package P to a bobbin exchange position R to be released, and holding the bobbin B empty, a package tray 30 extended from around the bobbin replacement position R to the opposite side of the take-up position W to receive the package P, and an empty bobbin supply passage 40 extended from the take-up position W close to the bobbin exchange position upward to supply the empty bobbin B. The cradle arm 10 is opened on the package tray 30 side at the exchange position R, and provided with a wall part 10a which can be engaged with an axial direction end part of the bobbin B. In this case, a gate 41 is pivotally supported at a tip of the empty bobbin supply way 40 on the side of the bobbin replacement position R to be rotatable between a position to disconnect the empty bobbin supply way 40 and a position roughly connected to the empty bobbin supply way 40.
