PURPOSE: To make it possible to efficiently discharge the contaminated air in a booth for coating in which materials to be coated are housed and are subjected to coating operation.

CONSTITUTION: Framework members 10 of a framework for the booth have an approximately inverted U shape and are arranged in juxtaposition in approximately parallel. Rod bodies 15 are pivotally fitted to all between leg parts 13 in an X shape. As a result, the entire part of the framework for the booth is contracted and expanded horizontally. Sheet members 20 are hung on the inner side of such framework and one closed space is internally formed by these sheet members and a front door section. Tension arms 35 are mounted between the legs of the framework members. These tension arms 35 act in the direction of expanding the spacings between the leg parts of the framework members 10. As a result, the sheet members 20 are tented on the inner side of the framework of the booth. The framework is provided with an air suction port and air discharge port at suitable points and these ports are provided with filters. The air discharge port is provided with an exhaust fan.
