Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a braid packing which can reduce the handle torque of a shaft seal device, and can prevent a sticking phenomenon.
CONSTITUTION: Inside a hollow cord form braid 4 made by braiding over braid and 8-carrier braiding the threads of a main fiber or an auxiliary fiber, a center core material 5 is filled, and after forming in a square rod form, it is formed in a ring form, so as to obtain a braid packing 6. And 10 to 40% of the threads composing the facing 4 of the braid packing 6 are made of threads 7 having an excellent lubricative property or an excellent sealing property, so as to compose such a braid packing 6.
