Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect contact inferiority by monitoring the connection state of a recording head and a recording apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: AND circuits 6020-605 operating the ANDs of all of the inputs from signal input terminals 105-107, 113-117 to output the results, a warning signal output terminal 601 are provided in the logical circuit of a recording head. A signal of a Vcc level is inputted to all of the signal input terminals from the control circuit of a recording apparatus having this recording head and the signal level of the warning signal (FB) from the warning signal output terminal 601 is investigated. In the case of FB=Vcc, it is confirmed that there is no contact inferiority and, in the case of FB≠Vcc, it is regarded that contact inferiority is generated at the signal input terminals and this state is displayed as a message and an LED is allowed to light or a buzzer is sounded to let a user know this state.
