Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a braider having mandrel-rotating mechanisms placed at both sides of a braider main body, holding a mandrel, controlling the posture of the mandrel and enabling the rotation of the mandrel around an axis.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of mandrel-rotating mechanisms R are placed at both sides of a braider main body B. The position of the yarn (y) for the core yarn of the 1st layer to be braided in the axial direction of the mandrel (m) is shifted relative to the position of the yarn for the core yarn of the 2nd layer in the rotational direction of the axis of the mandrel (m) to perform the braiding of the yarns. A truly circular cylindrical braid having a uniform density can be braided by this mechanism to improve the strength of the braid.
