Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten a stopping time of a braider and to make formation of braid efficient by arranging plural mandrel devices sandwiching a traveling truck of a bobbin carrier, preparing one mandrel during change of mandrel holding position or formation of braid by the other mandrel.
CONSTITUTION: In a braider for forming braid, mandrel devices Bm detachably equipped with T type mandrels right and left are arranged by sandwiching a truck guiding travel of a bobbin carrier, bored through a curved rising plate of a braider main body Bb. Mounting operation of mandrel is carried out by one mandrel device Bm while braid is made by other mandrel. After formation of the braid, the operation of the mandrels is changed to shorten a stopping time of the braider. In changing a mandrel holding position during braiding, braid is temporarily held by both the mandrel devices Bm, grasping of one mandrel device is released to avoid abnormal tension application and after- treatment such as impregnation of a resin into braid braided by one mandrel can be done while braid is being formed by the other mandrel.
