Abstract:
To prepare a braidlike carbon hollow yarn membrane excellent in heat resistance and durability and also excellent in pressure resistance by enhancing mechanical physical properties.
In the braidlike carbon hollow yarn membrane, a carbon fiber bundle, in which single fiber having ≥90 wt.% carbon content and ≤10 μm diameter consists of ≤2,000 filaments, is constituted into a braidlike state. Furthermore, the adjacent single fibers are mutually joined partially.
