To provide a broadcast material signal reproducing device whose configuration is made small, and in which a processing load and an control processing performed on an external device can be reduced, and audio at an optional temporal position in broadcast source data can be efficiently erased.
Audio erasure information to erase an audio signal at the optional temporal position in the broadcast material data is included in existing metadata attached to the broadcast material data and the resulting data are stored in a storage device 11, when a reproduction control section 12 reads the broadcast source data from the storage device 11 and supplies the data to a reproduction section 13, the reproduction control section 12 captures and analyzes the metadata corresponding to the broadcast source data from the storage device 11, obtains the temporal position at which the audio signal is erased on the basis of the audio erasure information in the metadata, and stops decoding processing by an audio decoder 133 of the reproduction section 13 at this temporal position.
