To provide a broadcasting receiver that is set up to prevent broadcasting station names from displaying program guides with respect to broadcasting stations that broadcast only a program imposing on age restrictions.

CPU starts preparing EPG images when completion of search for the program information on all broadcasting stations is detected. When a non-display flag for the broadcasting station name (the flag to be set up if the entire broadcasting time for the program imposing on age restrictions at the broadcasting station is a predetermined time or more) is determined to be set up, the program guide including the program names that the broadcasting station broadcasts is turned to be non-display by allowing also the broadcasting station name to be non-display. The processings including determinations on flags of display and non-display of the broadcasting station names are repeated until the search for all the station names is completed, so that the preparation of the EPG images are completed when the search for the whole broadcasting station names are finished. Further, the CPU allows the prepared EPG images to be displayed on a display device.
