Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush for a motor, which can lower the occurrence of noise by suppressing the self-vibration of a brush.
SOLUTION: A brush 1 is divided into three in its longitudinal direction, so that the width in rotational direction of a commutator is narrower. This brush 1 is made in roughly a columnar form and is composed of the first divided piece 3 and two second divided pieces 4 and 5 which are arranged for catching the first divided piece 3. A recess 7 for engagement is made at the divided face of the first divided piece 3. The recess for engagement 7 is made into the shape of a dovetail groove, and a plurality of recesses 8 extended in the longitudinal direction are provided at its bottom 7a. At one end face of the first divided piece 3, a cut 9 for accommodating a pigtail 6 jointed to the second divided pieces 4 and 5 is provided. The second divided pieces 4 and 5 are provided with projections 10 and 11 for engaging made in dovetail grooves, corresponding to the recess 7 for the engagement.
