Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a toner transfer pump capable of suppressing the generation of an abnormal sound, that is, a groan by specifying the relations between the static and dynamic torques of a rotor.
SOLUTION: The generation of a groan phenomenon has great relation to the value of the ratio of the static torque to the dynamic torque in the rotor 24. The static torque of the rotor of the toner transfer pump is the torque when the rotor is started to transfer toner, that is, started to rotate. The dynamic torque of the rotor is the torque during the time when the rotor is rotated while transferring the powder like toner, after the rotation of the rotor is started. For instance, the dynamic torque is the torque of the rotor during its rotation in a fixed normal state, to transfer the toner. When the static and dynamic torques of the rotor 24 of the pump 5 are defined as (a) and (b) respectively, the value of each torque is set so as to satisfy a/b≥0.03. Thus, the generation of the groan is effectively reduced.
