Abstract:

To provide a bulky nonwoven fabric excellent in touch feelings and in properties, which already has softness and drape without absorbing liquid.

This bulky nonwoven fabric in which texture yarns are woven in at least one preferential direction, characterized by weaving textured multifilament yarns having a fineness in a range of 10 to 400 denier in an endless filament nonwoven fabric and/or a staple fiber nonwoven fabric having a surface density of 5 to 100 g/m2, controlling the mutual distances of multifilament yarn threads to 1/cm to 10/cm, controlling the number of meshes to 0.5/cm to 8/cm, and shrinking the multifilament yarn threads only to 3 to 80% by a wet heating treatment or a moist heat treatment.
