PURPOSE: To obtain a bulky woven or knitted fabric suitable for obtaining a steric structure having a uniform interlayer as a resin-impregnated composite material excellent in repairing properties of plastic deformation by using yarn having shape memorizing characteristics in an amount of a specific wt.% or more as connecting yarn of base fabrics on the front and back sides in a woven or a knitted fabric of a multilayered structure.
CONSTITUTION: In the objective woven or knitted fabric of a multilayered structure in which a base fabric on the front side is connected through yarns to a base fabric on the back side, polyester-based filament yarn having shape memorizing characteristics is used in at least 30wt.% of the connecting yarns. Thereby, the plastic deformation such as compressive deformation of the interlayer, partially recessed parts or complicated strain of the base fabrics on the front and back sides can readily be repaired by heating the fabric at a temperature for recovering the shape memorizing yarn to the original shape.
